How do the caps enlarge?

When you click on one of the caps, a new window will open with the enlarged screencap.
CAUTION: When you click on another cap it'll open in the same window as the first one.
TIP: You do not need to enlarge the caps to save the full-sized version. Simply right-click on the preview and save the link (which is the fullsize image) to your computer.

In which order are the caps?

They are arranged in scenes as they are on the DVDs (the Extended Editions). I'm planning to add a small summery for each scene to the page, and will add that as soon as I have the time (the capping comes first though). If you like to volunteer to help me write those summeries, please contact me per email.

In which size are the caps?

Every cap is sized 1024 x 420 pixel.

How many screencaps are there on this page?

I'm not finished with capping yet, so the actual number of caps is displayed on the screencaps page.

There are still many scenes that aren't capped. Will you cap these scenes too?

Yes, I will. My goal is to cap all three movies (the Extended Editions) completely. But that needs a lot of time, especially since I don't run an automatically capping program through the movie and be done with it. In some scenes, especially those with lots of movement, I even go through the scene frame per frame just to be sure I get as many good caps as possible. I wish I could cap more often, but I have a real life too, so just give me the time I need to finish all movies. If you're looking for caps of a scene I haven't capped yet, feel free to request that scene. I'm always glad to fill those requests!

Do you take requests for screencaps?

Yes, but only when I have time. And you have to make sure the caps you want are from a scene I already have capped, but yet are not in it. If you're unsure, just ask me.
If you want something specific from a scene I haven't capped yet, feel free to suggest it and I'll try to remember it when I cap that scene.

I'm only looking for screencaps of [insert character name] but I don't know the names of the scenes that person is in.

That's what the character index is for. All already capped scenes are listed next to the characters. If you're looking for a character that is not listed in the character index, please write me an email and I'll include that character as soon as possible.

I want to download all of your caps. Is there an easier way than going through all pages and right-click-save every cap? Or can you put up zip files with all caps?

At the moment I don't have the space for zip files of my caps, that may change in the future as my webhost Dreamhost is awesome and my webspace grows every week, but at the moment there's still not enough space for zips.
If you use Firefox/Mozilla etc however, you can use extensions like downloadTHEMall! or SpiderZilla to download complete scenes or even the complete page.

What progam(s) do you use for making the caps?

I use VirtualDub for capping and PSP7 for resizing the caps.

What does the name of the page mean?

"Annon nan Galadh" is Sindarin for "Door to the Light" (if I have translated it correctly, I'm just learning.)
